My Journey

A Path of Dedication

Xavion Johnson is a rising judo talent from the Bahamas, fuelled by a deep passion for his sport and pride in representing his nation on the international stage. At just nineteen he competes in the under -66kng weight class and is already making his mark in regional and global competitions. Motivated by his ambition to be an Olympian, Johnson trains. tirelessly towards that goal. 

 

In 2022 he captured gold at the Quebec Open and Ontario Open, establishing himself as a force in Pan-American Judo.

 

Most recently in April 2025, Johnson earned a bronze medal at the Panama Junior Panamerican Cup and placed fifth at the Pan-American and Oceania Junior Championships- achieving a 3-1 match record at the Pan-Ams. His strong performances have placed him fourth in Pan American region and elevated him into the top 20 in the 20 in the junior world ranking s for his category. Alongside his reggional success, Johnson also competed at the Portico Junior Cup in Portugal in March 2025, advancing through the repechage rounds against strong international competition.

 

​On Instagram, he shares his journey through training camps, his experiences at the Pan-American Championships, and other International Competitions in Europe and the Americas.
